2024 Thai Nationals
Results of the 2024 Thailand National Championship
Following the worldwide upturn in the International OK Dinghy in the 2010’s and 20’s, the revival has reached Thailand. A build programme is in progress in 2021 to build 10 new dinghies, strongly supported by a sponsor. Private sailors also plan to build at least two more.
The decision to re-start building boats in Thailand was easy given the historical significance in the country with the Thai King Bhumibol (RIP) sailing OK dinghies extensively, and building several with his own hands. Photos documenting his sailing and boat building skills were on display next to the mold for he new builds, which perhaps represent the future of the class in Thailand.
