Roger Blasse wins Belgian Nationals
Belgiums biggest lake, the Plate de Taille promised very good Lake sailing conditions with 9-15 knots on both days. The Fleet was high level as several international sailors used the event as a warm up on their way south to Bandol for the Autumn Trophy and then on to the European Champs in Palma de Mallorca.
The race committee decided to not use the size of the lake, but instead just opted for short outer-loop courses of about 20 minutes.
On the plus side that allowed for finishing on sunday at 11:00 and an early leave for the Côte d’Azur for most internationals.
