Arnoud Vanhoutte from France and Michel Lesure from Luxemburg joined 18 Belgian participants. The Belgian OK Dinghy Association and Liberty Yacht Club were very pleased and proud to welcome Brenda and Don Andrews of OKDIA to Belgium.
Winds were extremely light, around 1 Bft, and shifty during the two days. Bart Bomans dominated the event and extended his 1995 title. Alex Schoenmakers was runner-up and Franz Hawer turned out a credible challenger.
Jos Claessens, age 75, performed outstandingly and gave everyone hope to enjoy OK racing for a long time to come.
Race officer Jan Van Driessche did an excellent job, including on-the-water music and funny (?) comments during the prize-giving.
