Update: Public Announcement on using masts constructed with so called "High Modulus Carbon"

To ensure further fair competition and the ongoing compliance with the "intention" of our class rules the OKDIA committees will propose as soon as possible a class rules change to rule 12 (Mast) that will limit the usage of glass, carbon and aramid fibres up to a defined maximum longitudinal strength and or modulus.

Class Rules

The Class Rules can be downloaded from the ISAF Webpage:
OK Class Rules at ISAF pages (www.sailing.org)
Please be aware that these rules may change, if in doubt, ask the Chairman of the technical committee about the latest version, changes and interpretations.

Trim guide

Nick Craig wrote a brief trimming guide, older guides are not much help anymore as the class went for carbon masts in 2003.
The guide is in pdf (Acrobat Reader) format, for easy print out.

Technical Manual

This Technical Manual is based on a print version from the british association.
It is very old, some information is based on wooden masts, while carbon masts are the standard, so take care with the information given, some might be out of date.
As some new OK sailors still find some information in this manual useful, we published it.
