Anything else you can think of that might be of interest? | Although generally a solid clubman performer who enjoys an outgoing tide and a Sydney sea breeze, this competitor has high expectations for the championship due to solid preparation and a modicum of aerobics training. Home built his first OK in 1968 ( KA 408 ) in precisely the manner intended by the Knut himself. Sailed briefly at Frankston near Melbourne and first regatta was Victorian Inland Waters at Horsham in 1969. Thereafter moved to Adelaide finding good racing at Holdfast Bay Yacht Club Best performance in Adelaide was a third in State Champs one year. A move back to Sydney produced new enthusiasm, bigger fleets, splendid competition as well as the good sea breezes but championship performances, other than at club level, prove elusive. Perhaps the training will assist this time. |
