Netherlands, Spring Cup 2001

Day 1:
On Saturday very strong winds prohibited too much racing, with the weather forcast stating max 20kn and decreasing winds, the sailors found up to 30 kn and gusts maybe more.
Even the bests got trouble gybing in the gusts and only a third of the fleet managed to sail the course wich was shortened at the second windward mark.
In the evening the Dutch OK Association provided a very good meal in the Chinese Restaurant again.

Day 2:
Wind speed in the mid range, decrasing over the day, provided 3 nice races, the last just finished before the westerly wind dropped to zero, and a new easterly breeze established.
The K.Z. & R.V. Hollandia provided a happy hour with free beer at Jack Brakeboers Pub, before there was some very good live Music, as the Monday was the Dutch national Day.

Day 3:
In very light winds from southwest and a lot of sun the first race was started, the wind dropped to zero on the last downwind to the finish, only the first 12 boats made it to the finish just befor the timelimit, the rest of the fleet was not moving at all.
The last boats had to beat against the new establishing easterly breeze to get to the second start, wich was started in the new 15kn breeze.
